Frequently Asked Questions

Can we call with general questions about 2xlCoaching or technical issues without being charged?
Of Course! We love having the opportunity to discuss our services and how 2xlCoaching can be of assistance for you.  You are only charged for scheduled appointment times, which you control.  It is also our goal to make the use of our technolgy an enjoyable experience, so no worries if you struggle with technology.  We will walk you through every step until you feel like a pro.
Who do you work with?
Adults age 18 and up.  We work with both individuals and couples.

I would like to attend a session with my husband but we can't get away from work at the same time, how can we get a couples coaching session?
It is easy with our Internet video call system as you both can log into the same session with us from different locations.  So if you can schedule a lunch break, you can have a joint coaching session then get right back to work.

Do I need special equipment for the Internet video calls?
All you need is an Internet device with a web camera and some type of microphone, which could be earbuds or a smartphone on speaker for a couples session. Our technology works with computers, Ipads, smartphones and other Internet devices.  Just give us a call and we can help you figure out the technical issues. 
I am having a hard time finding an opening on your online scheduling platform that will work with my schedule, help!
No worries, we are often able to open up more appointment times and accomodate special requests for evenings and a few weekend appointments, just give us a call.
Do I have to purchase a coaching package or participate for a specific amount of time?
No, our services are designed to be flexible and allow you to meet your individual needs, whether you require us for an hour, a month or a year.  Our goal is to be available when you need us.  So feel free to combine formats and schedule as little or as often as you need to.
Confidentiality is very important to me, how safe is my personal information?
We also value discretion, privacy and confidentiality so we have taken extra measures to ensure your information is secure.  No forms or private information are stored on our site, everything is housed on a secure, Hipaa compliant platform.  Our web video chat and web text chat are also delivered through a Hipaa compliant platform.
Do you take insurance?
No, coaching services are not covered by insurance. Coaching allows a greater level of confidentiality as your information is not shared with third party payors (insurance or other types of reimbursement).
What is the difference between coaching and counseling?
Counseling is the clinical treatment of mental/emotional disorders and is based on pathology and diagnosis.  Whereas, coaching is a solution focused practice based on strengths, resources and problem solving. Coaching is not a clinical treatment and does not diagnosis disorders. Should you have clinical symptoms that you would like to have addressed, we will refer you to a licensed mental health clinician for further assessment.
